Our Work @VikingReno

Lawn Aeration, Soil Top Dressing and Overseeding

Whether it be the spring, mid-summer, or fall, it is never a bad time to treat your lawn. For these customers in Oakville, we aerated their lawn with our slit tine aerator, spread fresh top soil on the turf, and overseeded.

Aerating your lawn promotes healthy grass growth by allowing vital nutrients, water, sunlight and oxygen to reach the root system of your lawn.

Top dressing (adding soil) your lawn adds lots of nutrients to your lawn, improves its ability to hold nutrients and water, as well as improves drainage. All this will need to thicker, greener grass.

Overseeding your lawn will reduce erosion, fill in bald areas, reduce risk of pests and disease, and increase overall thickness.

River Rock

River Rock is a popular option for areas or gardens that are more difficult to maintain. Many home owners, like these customers in Brampton, used 1-3 inch River Rock in between the concrete steps leading to the backyard. This area gets very little sun, making it extremely difficult to grow and maintain grass.

The same customers decided to create a long River Rock garden along their fence, using 3-6 inch River Rock so that their dog wouldn't disrupt the stones too much. In both cases, we laid professional grade landscape fabric underneath the stone to prevent weeds from growing through.

@VikingReno can deliver the River Rock if you want do it yourself, or we can do all of the heavy lifting and spreading for you.

Sod Delivery and Install

If your lawn is beyond the point of repair, starting from scratch by installing new sod is a good option. @VikingReno can provide you with the soil and sod for you to do the work yourself, or we can spread the soil and install the sod for you.

For these customers, we tilled and removed some of the old turf, added new soil, and installed fresh Kentucky Bluegrass sod.

Mulching Garden Beds

Some customers decide to add mulch to their existing garden beds, and others top up the existing (old/decomposed) mulch they currently have. Regardless, adding fresh mulch to your garden not only has aesthetic, but also important and functional benefits.

Regardless of the colour you choose, topping up your gardens with fresh mulch elevates the curb appeal of your yard by making your gardens look fresh and new. Mulch also improves the soil underneath, protects against temperature changes, and keeps the soil moist. Futhermore, a thick layer of mulch of at least 2"-3" inches will help reduce and prevent weed growth.

These customers in Burlington created new gardens around their pool and wanted to finish them off with fresh black mulch. Although Black is currently the most popular colour that we deliver and install, there are various other colours to choose from as well that may better suit your yard depending on the colour scheme of your yard and gardens.

@VikingReno can deliver the quality mulch you need to do it yourself, or we can also do the spreading for you.

White Dolomite

A great way to make your yard more elegant is to add the bright white dolomite stone instead of 3/4 gravel. Our customers often use it after pouring concrete, in between house or walkways, or along the fence line. It is more expensive than the standard gravel option, but may be worth it in the long run if that's the look you're going for.

Delivery of Material

Whether you are a home owner or a landscape contractor, we can provide you with the quality material you require to complete your project. We deliver our various types of soil, sand, gravel, stone, mulch, compost, and manure loose onto your driveway or the driveway of your customer.

We work with various contractors, and below is a photo of a delivery for a contractor who required 2.5 cubic yards of HPB delivered to his customer's house on Friday, so that he could begin work on Saturday.
